New Reynolds Plantation Executive Chef

Please join me in welcoming Chef Derin Moore, C.M.C. as our new Executive Chef here at Reynolds Plantation.  As Executive Chef, Chef Moore will oversee the culinary program for all of the clubhouse restaurants, snack bar facilities, as well as all banquets and member events. 

Prior to joining Reynolds Plantation, Chef Moore led the culinary operations at the flagship Ritz-Carlton Resorts of Naples, Florida, where he maintained Mobile Five Star and AAA Five Diamond status for four seasons.  

Chef Moore’s club experience is extensive including most recently working as executive chef at the Medinah Country Club. Chef Moore significantly increased member satisfaction in all culinary operations including the five restaurants at this highly-acclaimed top 20 Platinum Club. 

In addition to his leadership and innate ability to turn resorts into top-rated culinary destinations, Moore has made a name for himself on an international stage. For nearly a decade, Chef Moore was selected to represent the United States in international competitions including the highly-regarded World Culinary Olympics in Germany. Overall, he has received 13 international awards and more than 30 medals domestically. In 2003, Chef Moore was recognized by the American Culinary Federation as a Certified Master Chef – the highest level of certification available. 

In my career, I have had the pleasure of working in both resort and club environments. I find it particularly rewarding to work in a club environment where I can get to know the members and craft a culinary program that reflects a true understanding of their diverse needs. Whether it is casual dining, family oriented events, or fine dining, it is critical that we provide a consistently high quality experience. I look forward to making every dining experience special for all Reynolds Plantation members and guests.” 

We wish Chef Edward Leonard great success as he transitions to his new position at the Polo Club in Boca Raton and appreciate all his efforts as well as his assistance in helping to identify Chef Moore as his successor. 

Chef Moore will be coming to Reynolds Plantation with his wife Karen, daughters Lindsey and Hannah, and his son Ryan, who is currently attending Florida State University. 

As we continue to strengthen and expand our food and beverage offerings, we are thrilled to have Chef Moore take over the reins and add his signature touches to Reynolds Plantation.
