Members experience different aspects of the service Reynolds Plantation hourly employees provide; some are in full view, but there are many you don't see. Hannah Drew is one of the dedicated Reynolds staff members you may not know, who will benefit from your generous contribution to the Employee Appreciation Fund.
Hannah is wearing the traditional Korean Hanbok in her cover photo by the pond.
Hannah describes her position at Reynolds Plantation as "the most important job in the kitchen." She's responsible for general kitchen cleaning, running the dish machine, cleaning pots and pans, and some kitchen food prep. She especially enjoys watching others cook "Western style" (non-Asian), doing prep work, and just being a part of the kitchen team.

Hannah has a son – Dae and a daughter – Ivette; she’s married to Joe Drew. She likes to work in the garden, especially her vegetable patch, and cook all styles of spicy, Asian food. She holds the title of 2010 Champion of theChili Cook-Off held on Fat Tuesday at the Lake Oconee Welcome Center! Hannah also writes poetry and assists others with basic Chinese, Japanese, and Korean conversation.
After Hannah graduated from Korea University with a Bachelors degree in Education & Journalism, she was employed there as Professor of Sports Communication and Marketing. She came to the U.S. to cover the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles as a sports writer for the Korean Newspaper “ong-A” and again covered the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta as a broadcaster for South Korean television. She has written four books encompassing the subjects of Korean/Female Culture in the World, Sports Marketing, Broadcasting (all published in South Korea) and a Biblical non-fiction work that was published in English in the U.S. She wrote and created a radio program that aired on MBC, the Korean national radio station, from 1984 – 1996; famous sports figures were interviewed against a musical background. She won a grand prize from the broadcasting company for her work with this piece.
Hannah lived in Pennsylvania while her children attended Penn State, then moved to Georgia in 2008 to enjoy the warmer weather. She met her husband here and attended Central Georgia Technical College where she studied English as a Second Language. Last year's Employee Appreciation Fund check was used to purchase Christmas gifts for her family.
